Historic Arundel lies at the heart of the picturesque South Downs in Sussex.
Dominated by the stunning Norman castle and Gothic cathedral, this quaint town has cobbled streets, offering specialist shops and tea rooms. With easy access to the seaside towns of Littlehampton and Bognor Regis, Arundel is only an hour's journey south of London.
For explorers of the English countryside, Arundel is hard to beat. Lush meadows hug the banks of the River Arun which flows past the town on its way to the English Channel. The South Downs provide mile after mile of dramatic scenery and charming village pubs seem to appear at every turn.
The town itself is relaxed and friendly – the perfect place to have a wander, take afternoon tea or visit the Farmer's Market in the Town Square. Arundel Castle is home to the Duke of Norfolk and plays host to several events during the annual, highly-acclaimed Arundel Festival.
Arundel is surrounded by some of the most beautiful villages in Sussex.
Whether you discover them by car, on foot or by taking a boat down the River Arun is up to you.
